Multisport activity name incorrect in Connect app

I copied the cardio activity and made some changes to it, including renaming it as Bootcamp. But when I run a multisport with running + this new Boot Camp activity, the name of the Bootcamp activity comes through on Connect (iOS) as cardio. Can this be fixed?

Not sure whether it works for multisport activities too, but you can try changing the activity naming pattern in the settings of GC Web at https://connect.garmin.com/modern/settings to Location & Device Activity Name.
