Was it deprecated and removed?

I am afraid nobody knows here. Best asking directly the developer. He still has three other apps in the store, so use the link "Contact Developer" for example on this page: https://apps.garmin.com/apps/81555070-162c-487f-a1b0-b79ff3d45492

I thought it may be a glitch, hence asked here.

Anyways, after reaching to Trek chat I got this answer:

The Bontrager Light Control app was recently discontinued

You can still create a light network and control the lights with the light network on your Garmin
