New Face It not working

There seems to be an updated Face It option and after enabling it, the app shows the message “This update is taking longer than expected. Come back later”. It has been like that for 2 days now. Syncing the watch with Garmin Connect is functioning normally. The Face It watchface is installed on the watch, but it looks like with default setting and I cannot change anything. I am using an Epix Gen2 on its latest firmware.

I have a ForeRunner 955 and with FACE IT I've tried installing ones with pictures. After [Install] it says installing then Installation in progress, check your device later. It's been over a day. I've rebooted the watch. cleared old data.
I was able to install Instinct Tactiical Watch face quickly.
Syncing seems to work fine otherwise.

Advice on how to install a FACE IT with a picture please.

New Venu3 and same problem with pictures from my iphone. It’s definitely broken.
