Express 3.2.17 or 3.2.18 does not update BMW Navigator V completely

Today I struggled with a customer who has a BMW Navigator V and he had updated to City Navigator Europe NTU 2015.20, but did not function very well.

I tried first to repeat the process, no success. I have finally cleaned the Mac, cleared all Express Caches and earlier downloaded files and tried it again on his Mac. But no success, we do get a gmapprom.img + proper license and the JCV files, but we don't get the four SID files, the DB file in the SQLite folder and also no gmap3d and gmapdem maps.

This above can be taken into account for bug fixing Garmin Express Mac version, please.

A BMW Navigator V customer only sees the difference when looking which the maps are installed in the device, and will miss the 3d and/or dem map. The 4x SID files are the most dangerous ones, because the are not deleted and not not updated. It could frustrate the working of the GPS, I am not really sure, but I know that the SID files are bound to a specific map version.

I did solve the problem by attaching the BMW Navigator V to a Windows 7 computer with Garmin Express for Windows. All files where downloaded and the BMW Navigator V was updated accordingly. Customer happy, but it did cost several hours to complete the whole process.

    Additional information:

If the old files are all on the BMW Navigator Express Mac does doenload them and copy them to the Navigator V, only the DEM map is missing, just like with the zumo 590.

The issue I had was that Express kept telling that there was not enough room, and I deleted the 4x SID, SQLite DB, #D and DEM map by hand, emptied the trashcan and tried to install City navigator + additional files again.

As a confusion it seems that Mac Express kept the original file date/time from the downloaded files (something like 23 July), while Windows Express copies all the files and then all files are of the same date when I run the update (31 August). The Mac files then seem to be older, but are the new ones in reality. We check the file headers for 2015.20 markings to be sure.
