Garmin Fenix 2 Garmin Express syncing error

Hi

I hope some one can help me, I have a Fenix 2 and I can't get it to sync using Garmin Express. I have been continually getting the message: "There was an error syncing with Garmin Connect" and at the bottom it says: "Sorry, we couldn't sync your device. Please try again." Device settings "Error"

I have contacted our local Garmin agent and have followed all there steps and I still sit with this problem. My Garmin 510 syncs perfectly.

My Garmin express has the latest software.
The Fenix 2 is up to date.
I have done a hard reset on the watch and cleared it out.
I have cleaned out all the web browser settings and history.
I have used two different computers (mac)

And still can't get this thing to work, starting to wonder if i should go back to my Polar RCX5.

I can't even get it to sync to my iPhone5s and the Garmin 510 works like a charm.

I also have problems syncing my Fenix2 (which is up to date) with GE. It seems GE can't find the watch (it succeeds one day out of 10 after repeatedly disconnecting the watch and/or unplugging the usb-cable). Am trying to connect with USB on a mac. I 've looked at the
    Sign into connect
Click on the activities menu icon
    Click import
    Follow prompts
-solution but I can't find the "Import" alternative in my Swedish version of GC.

    Pls advice

I solved it temporarily by re-installing GE and synched without problems. Needless to say, I don't plan to continue this way. Unless it synchs without problems going forward I will return my F2 and go back to my 310xt. My F2 doesn't synch with my iPhone either. Perhaps I'm doing something silly but I know enough about computers to usually solve these kinds of problems

Edit. Once I actually managed to connect to my F2 I could import manually without problems. My problem is hence connecting to the watch and perhaps not related to GE. Apols if I'm writing in the wrong forum

I should have figured out myself that I should have tried disconnecting other USB devices. I'll be back if it doesn't help

I have a Fenix 2 that I acquired on July 31st. I am not able to store any activities on my watch. As soon as I finish an activity I go into history and it says I don't have any activities. I go to Express Connect and it doesn't sync my watch. I look at Garmin Connect and it hasn't made any updates since about 3 weeks ago, which is not accurate.

I'm using Yosemite on my Mac and I have all the updated software and GPS software, 4.0 and 3.10, respectively.

    PLEASE HELP!!!!

Once you stop the timer at the end of a activity, the fenix2 will prompt you to Resume, Save, Discard, or Resume Later. Unless you choose Save the activity will not show up in History and will not upload to Connect. The fenix2 doesn't create the activity .fit file until it has been saved.

    Hi,
I have had my Fenix 2 for a couple of weeks only. I have been able to sync my activities up until now. I ran a marathon on saturday but only went to upload the activity today and Connect just keeps saying there is an error and to try again later. I have rebooted my PC and tried a few times but with no luck. I can view the activity in my files and so tried the import suggestion made above but got another error message (see attached screen print). My internet connection is fine. Are you able to provide any other work arounds? I am hoping that this is a a one off glitch otherwise I will be really disappointed. Its the first technical watch I've ever had and was excited to see my stats for this marathon.

The same activities of mine that will not upload via Garmin Express because of an error also won't upload via a manual upload because of an error. Please help.
  • There has been some upload issues today due to the Daylight Savings Time switch. Please try again tomorrow night.

    Hi all,

I've tried this Albert, but no luck. Error message: "An error occurred with upload. Please try again." I've tried another file, but nothing has happened. It was working before and nothing has changed since the last time it worked.

When I plug my Fenix 2 into my Mac, Garmin Express for some reason now longer opens up automatically. When I open it, it says it's syncing, but nothing seems to be happening.

    Any ideas please?
