Garmin Fenix 2 Garmin Express syncing error

Hi

I hope some one can help me, I have a Fenix 2 and I can't get it to sync using Garmin Express. I have been continually getting the message: "There was an error syncing with Garmin Connect" and at the bottom it says: "Sorry, we couldn't sync your device. Please try again." Device settings "Error"

I have contacted our local Garmin agent and have followed all there steps and I still sit with this problem. My Garmin 510 syncs perfectly.

My Garmin express has the latest software.
The Fenix 2 is up to date.
I have done a hard reset on the watch and cleared it out.
I have cleaned out all the web browser settings and history.
I have used two different computers (mac)

And still can't get this thing to work, starting to wonder if i should go back to my Polar RCX5.

I can't even get it to sync to my iPhone5s and the Garmin 510 works like a charm.
  • Having the exact same problem. Sucks!!!!
  • There may be a corrupt activity on the device. Have you tried a manual upload with connect?

    • Sign into connect
    • Click on the activities menu icon
    • Click import
    • Follow prompts

Let us know if you are able to upload this way.

  • I have the same issue. It is NOT a device problem. I have tried the same device on the Windows version and had no issue synchronizing. Further, I've tried this on two different Macs, one of which never had Express.

I am having this exact problem starting today. I also tried a manual upload described above to no avail.

In looking at the screenshot, typically the issue that you are having is caused by Internet connectivity issues. Ensure that you are wired into the modem without any security programs running and try again.

Which problem are you having? The original post, or the one described by [email protected]?

    Hi,

I have updated my fenix 2 to the latest version, but I am still face with the problem of syncing with my smartphone to notify me of miss calls and messages.

When I first connected, everything will be fined. But once my watch moves away from my phone such that Bluetooth is disconnected, it will not connect back again until I manually reconnect them.

    Does that happen to everyone?

This is the Garmin Express forums, so we like to keep it to issues involving Garmin Express. That being said, I checked with our Outdoor department and was informed this is a known issue and we are currently looking at it. We have had reports of that happening with some phones, other phones seem to work just fine according to them. I apologize for any inconvenience this causes.
