do you still need the Ant agent when you use Garmin Express

hi

installed Garmin Express. no problem, working quite well actually, I am very pleased to not
have to manually upload from the Edge 800 and it also detect my 910xt. so I am happy
with the tool.
sorry for the silly question but : my understanding is that I can now remove the "old" Ant agent uploader ? correct ?

With Garmin Express installed you no longer need the ANT Agent software. I would recommend uninstalling ANT Agent as only one of the software's can communicate with the ANT stick at a time.
Since Express is the software we are using moving forward there's no need to keep both on the computer.

Except that quite a few people are experiencing problems with other devices e.g. my FR60 and so sticking with ANT Agent.

How can I reinstall Ant Agent as Garmin Express is not recognising my FR 610.

Or my FR310XT.

And somehow, Ant agent has been uninstalled and l don't know how it did that.

Why wouldn't Garmin Express recognise FR60s or FR310XTs?

Make sure you have the most recent version of GE as that will, apparently, work with your 310XT GE 3.2.5.0. Not sure about the FR60

garmin express - ant agent???

I have installed the last version of garmin express but it doesn't run with my 310XT!
reinstalling ANT agent, and everything is OK

What can i do to run garmin express?

On my Mac (OX 10.9) it is impossible to remove the 310XT from my list.
I install only the latest garmin ant agent. I delete the 310XT because I dont own it anymore.
I install the latest version of garmin express (it deletes Garmin Ant agent).
And The 310 XT is still present.

When you do the same on a PC, you have to reconnect every garmin products tou own and the list of products is clear.
On Mac you still have your ghost products you don't own anymore.

using express 3.2.15 freshly downloaded and installed end of last week,
It does not work?

Yesterday did a 5hr+ bike ride, synced for the first time with express from a 310xt to a macbook pro 10.9.4

Activity does not show up in my garmin online connect and Express has wiped it from my device.

Tried to sync device to rubitracks and got errors:

No activities have been imported.
The data format in one or more of the imported files is unknown. These are the files that have not been imported:

/Users/SteveK/Library/Application Support/Garmin/GarminConnect/-3749020032/Upload/FIT_TYPE_4/2014-07-20 12:59:44 +0000_2308.fit

any one know where my data is and how I can access it?
