do you still need the Ant agent when you use Garmin Express

It's showing you the path. (Didn't know there was a Library folder in your home folder? Apple doesn't want you to know, but it's there.)

To find it, use the Finder's Go menu, choose "Go to Folder", and enter

/Users/SteveK/Library/Application Support/Garmin/GarminConnect/-3749020032/Upload/FIT_TYPE_4

in the box, then choose Go. You'll find the 2014-07-20 fit file that's your activity from yesterday. Copy (don't just drag, hold down Option when dragging) to the Desktop so it's easy for you to find. For a five hour ride, it should be several hundred kb in size. You can then try again to import it manually to RubiTrack, and maybe to Garmin Connect. But, given the error message (since I trust RubiTrack), probably something is wrong with it. There are people on these forums who have software tools to repair .fit files, so you might want to post it in a separate thread and see if one of them can do anything with it. It may be that nothing can be done, however.

You also might want to uncheck the option that automatically deletes activities from your device, if that's possible with a 310xt.

yes found there but only 801 bytes long. Just did a very short new activity test and its a few K so Sundays 5 hr not downloaded properly, despite express "syncing and uploading" "OK" Garmin speak for "I failed"

yesterday i deleted 31-xt device (it had picked up automatically when i installed express, no notes to contrary) and re-installed, It is now recording activities into a "Forerunner 310XT-3749020032" folder
Previously just the large -ve number, not sure if that was the problem.

I also have a Fit type-9 folder anyone know what that is?
