Android File Transfer needs Rosetta - how to get files off device?

We appreciate you reaching out about potential support for our Express program to work with Apple Silicon-based Mac computers.

While we don't typically announce what may or may not be supported in the future, we also understand that the support for Rosetta is ending and it's important to find out for sure.

This will be addressed with a future version of Express that natively supports Apple Silicon however, we have no exact time-frame to provide. We are aiming for it to be released by the end of this year though. We can only suggest periodically checking our Express page.

Regarding the Android File Transfer, you should not need to use that in order to send files to support. You can send them directly through Garmin Express: Sending a Garmin Folder From a Device to Product Support

 Dear Garmin - SP  Many thanks for your prompt reply. My post was specifically about Android File Transfer and not Garmin Express for MacOS but I posted it here because it seemed the most reasonable place and the problem is somewhat related.

I recently had a problem on tour where I was in area where there was poor mobile data reception.

As a result my day's activity failed to upload to Garmin Connect after saving.

The only way to recover the activity and upload it was to use Android File Transfer on my return a week later to access the .fit file and manually upload it to Garmin Connect web.

Will you be able to provide a means to do this or will you provide an alternative solution such as being able to force the upload of an activity after a failed attempt?
