Garmin Express Mac (7.27.0): device update check (click circled arrow) does not work anymore on MacOS Tahoe

Using Garmin Express with a connected forerunner: initial device update check works but a repeated check (click circled arrow next to Last Checked:....) does not work anymore on MacOS Tahoe. Nothing happens when clicking.

Thank you for your attention to this matter

  • It's the same on my iMac. What I do. I select the Home, then my watch. Instinct Solar and the refresh happens.

But the (click circled arrow next to Last Checked:....) does not work anymore on MacOS Tahoe.

  • Same goes for adding new devices.  It gets stuck on Data.  tried with my Tread and tread 2 overland.  Soon as I went to another mac with Sequoia it worked fine so definitely a Tahoe/OSX 26.0.1  problem with Garmin Express 7.27.0.  I have a M1 Pro

  • Hi Artie. I have sent you an email requesting additional information so our teams can investigate your situation. Please respond to that email so we can take a closer look at your situation and work towards a resolution.

  • Hi, I replied already. Seems to be a cursor-button alignment issue in my case; I can't upload image here though, it's in your mail. If I click inside the center of refresh arrow/button it won't work, clicking at the left or top-left edge works...

  •  It looks like macOS Tahoe 26.1 was released on November 3, 2025. Could you please try installing that and see if the issue persists?

  • Hi I have macOS Tahoe 26.1 (25B78) installed and Garmin Express Version 7.27.0,0 (6ca24df38) and the button behind Last Checked: Today @ 17:09  does not work/react when pressed,

  • Hi  ,  I’m running MacOs 26.1 now. I thought I still had the problem last week on 26.1 (like PauleZH).

Currently the refresh seems OK but there are updates available now (FW 26.08) which I am kind of reluctant to install on my watch yet.
So the current situation is somewhat different compared to the state when there are no updates. Don’t know yet  if this matters.
And since I have a workaround now it’s a minor annoyance
  • Hi  , also see message before; after installing the updates the incorrect/displaced cursor behaviour is back; so with incoming updates, the refresh cursor positioning is OK and without incoming updates it is not, even in MacOS 26.1
