Garmin Express Sync Error Mac

I get this error message everytime I sync my Garmin with my Mac... even my Fenix 5 has this error message...

The link that Garmin shows to solve, doesn't work...
https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=GiLICKFtvE1nV5uq9diX89

I can go up to step 5, because there isn't a folder called Garmin..

  • Just an update:

Garmin emailed me, to remove some folders...

I did what they told me to do...

    I lost all my training....

    They're a full joke...

  • It's ridiculous that this hasn't been sorted out. At this point they should just say that they don't support Macs.

  • This problem has been around for months already on all my Edge 840 and Fenix 7s. Decided to reinstall Garmin Express and now it doesn't even work.
    After opening, it crashes.

What is Garmin doing about this ?
    This is so frustrating.

  • What is Garmin doing about this ?

Have you contacted Garmin Support to find out?

  • I have. They requested error logs, which I provided, and they said "i just added that to a case and I will reach back out once I get a response from the team on this." They are also aware of this thread.

That last interaction was July 5th.

  • Thanks for the info !
So No answer no solution from garmin expected then. SAD !
After installing and reinstalling Garmin express more than 7 times today, I finally managed to make it run without closing.
Now I'm just happy if the app doesn't crash.

  • This is starting to get really annoying :)

  • I've been trying but chat's been down when I try to connect.  The coincidence is so annoying.

  • This problem is encountered by potentially tens of thousands of people. Almost everyone at my running club with a Mac has the same issue, and that is a tiny group compared to the global user base. I actually don't think Garmin know how to fix it, so they're just ignoring it.

  • At this point, I'm hoping (probably naively) that they're quietly working on a full rewrite, and that's why they don't want to spend time and energy fixing this incarnation of the software. Alternatively, they could be in the process of deprecating Express altogether, and moving all functionality to smartphone apps and direct WiFi syncing (for the devices that have that capability). At a certain point, it becomes false advertising to claim functionality with Macs if they can't fix this stuff.

I'm probably wrong in all of my conjecture and it's simply that they're taking a ridiculously long time to fix it; I'm grasping at straws here, and trying to imagine that there's some logical explanation.
