Garmin Express Sync Error Mac

I get this error message everytime I sync my Garmin with my Mac... even my Fenix 5 has this error message...

The link that Garmin shows to solve, doesn't work...

I can go up to step 5, because there isn't a folder called Garmin..

  • Same problem here: since a week or so a error message for fit-file from the day before after synchronizing my Edge 830...

  • Same problem here. Started this week. I get so frustrated with Garmin's lack of rigor in testing

  • Seeing this problem as well. Tried reinstalling Express and problem persists.

  • I have same problem on my EDGE 1030 Plus.

another consequence is that I have installed update of maps (ciclable route Garmin Europe) and now is not possible see street, name of way, etc.

has someone same problem? Is connected with error?

  • I've just spent the last hour trying to get this fixed as well. It started with "Unable to unlock maps" when I last synced with Garmin Connect.  I was trying to fix that which led me down the path of removing all maps and then not being able to add them again.  As one person suggested, I've just reset all data and settings on the device to try and start over. Waiting to download and install NA Maps.  I also am now having problems reconnecting the device to my phone via bluetooth. It keeps failing for unknown reasons.

Initially, when I started using Garmin devices I had all sorts of issues getting devices synced etc.  It had all worked well for many years and now it's all screwed up again.

  • another issue since a while: problems to disconnect my Forerunner 245. have to quit all possibly connected apps including the finder (Macbook M1). seems we are all beta-tester for garmin software.

  • Same issue since a couple of weeks (also after updating to 7.22.1.0) with both Garmin Edge 1040 and Garmin Tactix Delta.

  • +1
Same here with the latest version 7.22.1.0 Disappointed

  • I'm getting the same error with an Epix Pro. I tried deleting various files on my computer and on the watch itself to see if I could find the incompatibility, but it seems to be a fool's errand.

Importantly, it works fine on Windows. Express for Mac has had a lot of problems with bad updates recently; it seems like testing on Mac is given a lower priority.
