First, I am not talking to the Garmin Fanboy and -girls, who claim to have a perfect download experience and try to blame the errors on the Users' computers. If Garmin distributed a competent product, it would not (a.) take four hours for the downloadl to finish and (b.) at the very least there would be some diagnostic abilities by the software. This is leaivng aside the imcompetence of insisting that we continue to us MS-DOS FAT.
In any event, I have had several successful downloads, but what happens more and more and more is that the download goes along quite well, until 80 or 80 or 95%, and then it slows down to a crawl. Sometimes I cancel it and start over and it does the same thing. Sometimes I just give up. Eventually ... sometimes after two days, the download works. No rhyme or reasom to it.
Right now my Mac Studio is @ 94.6%, installing at 3209.0 MB/s ... with a perpertual "1 minute" time remaining. It's been like th is for 10 minutes, except that the MB/s is slowing slowing down..
If the answer is that I need to re-configure my Mac Studio's entire software to accommodate this appalling software program, that is just an admission by Garmin that the App is defective.
Honda should change vendors.
