Garmin Express will not open Garmin Connect to add new device.

I am trying to add my Fenix 3 HR to GE in order to set up WiFi and in order to update the firmware. When I open GE the Fenix is recognised and connected. I then get the sync with connect screen. I already have a connect account yet every time I hit the sign in button I get a blank screen which does nothing! (I've tried the create account button but same thing happens). An older version of GE had my FR410 on it back in the day and that synced fine. Has anybody else had a similar issue as this is driving me mad!! Thanks.

  • Hey everybody, I’ve used the patch too and it works on my Mac. I would recommend reading the manual on http://dosdude1.com/highsierra/ first before you use it. It is quite well indicated on which Macs it works and which Macs have problems with, for instance, the WiFi card. And Garmin, thanks in advance for solving the problem. Will you indicate in this thread when the problem is solved please?


    Hi! I finally made it!! Used the patch on my MacBook Pro Mid 2009 and updated to High Sierra, works like a charm!! Installed GE and now I can sync and got rid of that blank screen!! I know it's a pain, but I made a clean install of HS and now everything came back to life! Just follow the steps here http://dosdude1.com/highsierra/, is easy enough!! Good luck!!
  • I have the same problem. Garmin Express keeps hanging on my mac once I put in my username / password. Is there someone from Garmin looking at this thread?
  • I have the same problem on macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 (17G2208). It just hangs and I have to Force Quit to exit Garmin Express.
