Edge 500 and 510 not detected on Mac 10.11 El Capitan

I've had pretty much the exact same issue with my Edge 500 and Edge 510.
Was working last week on OSX 10.10, now on OSX 10.11 and nothing.
My Fenix seems to sync just fine though.

    I moved this post since it does not apply to the Approach S5 and S6 issue on 10.11 El Capitan.

    I just successfully connected various Edge 500 and 510 devices to my Mac running 10.11 and each mounted just fine and was detected by Garmin Express.

    Have you tried the troubleshooting in our FAQ: Why is my Garmin mass storage device not communicating with Garmin Mac applications?

    Do the devices show in Disk Utility and can be verified and repaired? How do I run a check disk or disk utility on my Garmin mass storage device?

    If this troubleshooting does not resolve the issue, contact Product Support by phone for further assistance.

    Edge 1000 experiencing connection issues after El Captain update

    Hi,

    i'm experiencing the same issues, no connection with Mac.
    I've tried different cables (connection ones of course) still charging the unit, but no icon on the screen indicating that the device is communicating with the computer.
    I've tried everything but doesn't work.
    Please fix the issue
