310XT no longer syncing - "Re-authentication Required"

Been trying to upload some courses to my 310xt for the last few days and not had any success. It has worked before. Tried installing express again, master reset the watch etc etc and no joy. Now the watch will not upload my run from today - complains of "re-authentication required".

When I remove the watch from express then add it in again, the first time sync turns off the watch. Then when I turn it back on again and try another sync - I get the same error message.

I see alot of posts like this one about the latest express update. Where can I roll back to a previous version?

  • Went back to Ant agent. Now at least the runs are uploading.

I have the same exact issue. The 310xt will try to sync a bit, then either fail, or issue a re-authenticate dialogue. Once re-authenticated, it says sync'ed, but... no new activities in express.

Incidentally, my Edge 500, which connects via cable, won't sync, either.

Yep - mine states its synced, but it has not.

Its working now on ANT agent, i'll continue to use it until Garmin get there act together.

We currently have a case open to get this resolved. The current work around is to navigate to the sync folder on your computer and delete it. Remove and re-add the device afterwards and you should not get that error message again.

Type the following into your run box: C:\ProgramData\Garmin\CoreService\Devices\
Select your unit ID and then delete the corresponding sync folder.

  • Kenny,

I have done this twice - I got the advice from other thread replies. It did not make any difference. Nothing would allow the device to sync until I went back to Ant agent.

It sounds like you may need to contact support if that didn't work.

Tried all the various suggestions of deleting files, hard reset, etc
The only thing that worked was uninstalling Garmin Express and installing Ant agent instead.
