Hazlan,
I think that the issue is caused by the default scaling (DPI setting), not the actual resolution. However, here is an easy way to get around it:
- Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Escape)
- Under Apps, Expand Garmin Express (32 bit) (Windows 8 only)
- Right-click Garmin Express
- Click Maximize (this opens Express in full screen which looks terrible)
- Drag the gray bar at the top of the express window to leave full screen mode
Once you have completed these steps, Garmin Express should launch correctly in the future as the config file will be updated. I have created a case for this issue to see if there is any way to keep it from happening.
