Garmin Express sync 'working' - but activities not uploading to Garmin Connect

I have a Garmin 410 which i've successfully used with Garmin Express for some time. My last activity upload was on Friday 13th March. Since then i've tried to upload two further activities and despite Garmin Express stating that the transfer was complete, when I login to Garmin Connect the activities are not there. Scouring Google for answers hasn't helped me either. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Garmin Express - to no avail.

Has anyone got any ideas of how I can get it to work? Or am I missing something obvious that I should be doing?

Thanks

Same issue for me. I'm trying to upload from a 610, the status bar gets halfway, then says Re-Authentication Required. I give it my Garmin login details, which it accepts - but then get the message "There was an error syncing with Garmin Connect."

I've applied the new firmware released today, but this has not fixed the issue. Is there an update on getting this fixed, watch is useless for me without the online analysis
  • We might be having a couple different issues going on here. Please ensure that the date/time/timezone are correct on the computer. And if you continue to have problems contact support.

Same thing going on with my 610 after performing the latest software update this morning. This has to be a software glitch. Checked time/date on my computer, all was good

trying this, BUT recent activities do not appear to be on my 910xt (mac). I'm training hard. this is frustrating.

I noticed there are activities in your account from March 11,13,14,15th from the Forerunner 410. Are you still having sync issues with Express 4.0.8?

  • I have been having issues also. I've tried maybe 20-30 times to upload since my last successful upload on Monday. I typically get the error window titled "Re-authentication required". I have a Garmin 610, also.

Similar goings on here, but with a twist. 405CX with all the latest drivers on watch and software via Windows 8.1

Everything working fine last week. Noticed Google browser has stopped allowing communication with ANT+, no plugin available. I've used Safari, FireFox and IE - here's what happens:

All browsers - sometimes takes several attempts but new activities can be uploaded. Forcing an update from the watch also works. However when you try to upload a specific activity...

Chrome: can't do it, needs plugin, this is no longer supported.
IE: reports there are no activities on watch
Firefox: reports there are only TWO activities on watch that can be uploaded.
Safari: reports there are no activities.

I reset my watch to factory settings yesterday to try and cure problem, this cleared the database. I now only have today's activities stored on the watch. Firefox STILL only TWO activities from January??? The others will upload new activities, however if you accidentally delete an activity from Garmin Connect, and you try to upload that activity again, neither Firefox, Safari or IE can see activities on my watch.

As I say, this function worked perfectly well last week (as it has been for the past 4 years) using Google.

It sounds like you are trying to upload activities from the watch using the upload feature on Classic Connect. This has never worked this way. The Garmin Communicator Plugin does not read any information off of ANT devices. The only way for the Garmin Communicator plugin to find activities is if they are uploaded to the computer using ANT Agent which should no longer be used. Garmin Express does not put the files in a location where the Communicator plugin can see them because when the files are sent to the computer they are automatically uploaded to Garmin Connect.

I'm having issues trying to upload my 610 to Garmin Connect using Garmin Express today. I have an activity on my watch which appears as 50 separate activities in Express, and not one of them manages to upload before it fails and tries to start again.

Now the sync has apparently finished, however the activity from 19th March (a 5k PB which I was keen to analyse) has not appeared in Garmin Connect, and has disappeared from the watch!
