310XT and Garmin Express - Can't transfer data anymore

Hi,
I own a 310XT and moved to Express about a month ago. Was able to pair my watch and send data several times, last one being one week ago.
But today I cannot transfer my data anymore. The watch keeps bringing the "transfering data" intermittently, for periods of ~10-15", every one to two minutes, but nothing is transfered.
I tried everything. Restart the watch, take tha ANT stick out and back in, restart the computer, in all possible orders. I tried unpairing the watch and re-pairing it. I tried the instructions in this post: https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?123184-Garmin-310XT-will-not-transfer-data-during-sync (both instructions: the one with the folders to delete in the computer, and the one with "transfer all on the watch". Nothing seems to work!
Windows 8.1; firmware 4.50; Garmin Express 3.2.27.0
Please help, anyone.

Garmin Express 4.0.13 will not sync with Forerunner 310xt

Upgraded my Garmin express yesterday to 4.0.13

not it does not recognize my forerunner 310xt.
appears that GE will not acknowledge my ant stick
Its loaded in my system (I see it in device manager)

I have tried rebooting pc, using different usb port, still does not work

Can I downgrade back to previous version

I can not add a new unit as it does not find ant stick

I'm having the same problem. I'm so disappointed that Garmin has yet again found a way to make it's syncing software worse.

GE 4.50 Not Syncing to Garmin Connect - Windows 7/310XT

I had a file from a few days ago that never synced. While trying to resolve the issue, I upgraded to Garmin Express 4.50. GE wouldn't recognize my 310xt as connected (it alisted device), so I restarted my PC. That didn't change anything. I confirmed that my Forerunner was set to have pairing on. When that didn't work, I deleted the 310xt from GE. I then added a new device and searched for it. I got a notice about the device not pairing, I clicked "try again". The device connected. I went to History and selected "Transfer All" (something I had tried previously before upgrading to GE 4.50). I then created a small sample activity, shutdown the Forerunner and then started it again. The Forerunner showed a data transfer, but GE didn't indicate syncing. So I restarted the Forerunner again. This time, GE indicated that it was syncing. However, no new activities show up on Garmin Connect. I then made sure that the only activities in my Forerunner are the ones that haven't transferred, set "Transfer All" and added another small file. After GE showed the sync as being finished, I checked Garmin Connect. No new activities have appeared.

So with each try, it seems it gets a little better, but I still can't get activities to sync with Garmin Connect.

Update: I now realize that the version of the GE software is 4.0.13.0 and I think 4.50 is the version of the 310xt software.

Currently I am still facing a problem with syncing of the 310XT with Garmin Connect.

Garmin Connect says: last syncing on 28th March.
Garmin Express says: synced on 29th March.
My last ride was on 29th, so the 310XT has exchanged data via the Ant Stick with Garmin Express, however when I click further to Garmin Connect, I don't see my last activity.

Does anyone have some helpfull information what can be teh reason?
    Thx all

I have given up using the new garmin express, I have a 310xt and have resorted to using the ANT Agent+ https://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=3741 I think just need to accept 310xt on garmin express 1.0.13.0 will be supported at some stage in a different galaxy a long long way away.

use the Agent is the answer that Garmin can't give as they would then have to answer the avalanche of comments on why they aren't supporting the 310xt

Garmin Express is garbage. After I updated it to the latest version (4.0.13.0) syncing stopped working. Express says sync was OK, but nothing is uploaded to Garmin Connect, no files are found in the data directory.

Solution: UNINSTALL EXPRESS, install the old Ant Agent.

The Agent has synced my data and uploaded it to Connect. Thanks Garmin.
  • Gee folks, those poor overworked programmers are busy trying to fix obummercare websites but not to worry, they will back to work on this POS as soon as they are done.

Remind me again why I buy Garmin....

    Hey folks,

I ended up calling Garmin support. He had me remove and re-add my device, that didn't help. Eventually we decided my only course was a hard reset. Oddly enough, when I synched after the hard reset, my lost data appeared. (To hard reset, you turn off the device, then Hold power and mode - This supposedly will cause you to lose all your data though)

I just took a short walk, and that synched no problem.
  • Well, I´ve tried to reinstall the Garmin Express, to remove and add my device again, to change my password on Garmin Connect (it helped once), to restart software and the watch multiply times, to use ANT soft... nothing works. I am mad as hell and I am not gonna take this anymore. I am thinking about returning the watch because obviously the manufacturer does not care about customers complaints...
