Garmin Express - There is a problem with our servers, Express temporary not available

I want to link my device with Connect via Garmin Express. After giving the user name and password, I receive a message "There is a problem with our servers, Express temporary not available..,"

The problem is that I get always this message, last week as well and I was never able to link the device to Connect.

It is quit emabarrasing, looks as an issue on your servers, why it is not being solved?

I am having the same problem with my laptop. I see the moderator is saying that this is unlikely however I called on Monday or Tuesday they said it should be fixed by the end of the week.????? Between that and the fact that it will only upload my steps once a day and if I don't upload on a particular day it will not upload any steps so I have days missing for the last two weeks. Very discourged with the entire Garmin at this point.
  • I am having the same issue, since yesterday. Error message in Garmin Express saying unable to communicate with garmin servers. I can successfully hit the link. The troubleshooting page was worthless - I have internet, no firewall or proxy, no changes since last synced on the 13th. I have tried this on 2 computers and neither has an issue with time setting (uses internet time, updated). Express has been a disaster since it was released - please fix or allow an alternate method of uploading!

I am having the same issue. I got a new laptop and downloaded Express yesterday (I assume is the latest one) and I get the same error when I try to login. I can login no problem at https://connect.garmin.com with those credentials, but unable to do so from Express so I cannot add any of my devices. Kinda frustrating since this was working well with the Ant+ in my old laptop... the link http://omt.garmin.com/ works for me, so is obvious the error message is not completely accurate, . *sight*

Wish someone from Garmin would stop saying "It works for me" and recognize there's a group of (frustrated) customers having an issue and at least make an effort to investigate. </rant>
  • Try the steps in this FAQ http://support.garmin.com/support/searchSupport/simpleCase.htm?caseId={dd8e8b20-ef1e-11e2-7dd9-000000000000}&kbName=garmin

If that doesn't help then as advised above contact Product Support as it may be an account issue.
  • I can log in "Connect" but "Express is giving "connect server error"..

I am sorry for the troubles. Try signing in through a web browser then deleting the Forerunner 910XT from the Connect account then trying to pair again through Express? Deleting the device does not delete any activities that are already uploaded. You might also try editing the User Profile on the watch before pairing. Just a small change to weight or heart rate zones to regenerate the profile. Also, consider deleting the activity from the day after your last successful upload. Corruption in an activity on the device can cause sync failures.

Again I am sorry for the troubles.

I can not even get www.garmin.com to open or http://omt.garmin.com to open. Keeps saying "this page can't be displayed." I got my Forerunner 10 as a Christmas gift... are these problems normal ?
  • If you can't get those sites to open something on your PC is blocking those sites. You may want to check firewalls, av programs etc.
