Garmin Express - There is a problem with our servers, Express temporary not available

I want to link my device with Connect via Garmin Express. After giving the user name and password, I receive a message "There is a problem with our servers, Express temporary not available..,"

The problem is that I get always this message, last week as well and I was never able to link the device to Connect.

It is quit emabarrasing, looks as an issue on your servers, why it is not being solved?
  • In addition to the time being correct, the time zones must also be identical. Something to check.

I've stayed with version 3.2.29 of express because of the issues reported here about 4.0.x versions.

But how is it possible to define a time zone on a Forerunner? It shows only time itself with no time zone specification...
  • You can't but there's Mobile Connect, Connect on the web, and your PC that all need to be in the same time zone.

Internet Proxy settings seems to be a good direction to look at

I have the same problem since one month with a 310XT and garmin express 3.2.27.0. Every 2 days it is impossible to upload the training with the server not reachable message. Really anoying.

I had the problem now and reading the thread, I changed proxy parameters in garmin express from AUTO to Désactivé (in french) and it all trainings were uploaded right away.

I am now setting back to AUTO in garmin express and fixed the proxy settings in windows/internet explorer from autodetect no to yes. I guess this was changed by me or some corporate software at point some time.

At least this seems to me a good direction to look at to fix this annoying issue.

    > BTW how do I get version 4.x of Garmine express?
  • Go into Settings on Express and select Check for updates then select Install.

    Or go here http://download.garmin.com/omt/express/B/GarminExpressInstaller.exe
