Cant sync - "problem communicating with the Gamin Servers "

I have a new Garmin Forerunner 15.

I have downloaded Garmin Express and I have connected my device with the USB - trying to sync my data to Garmin Express.
Garmin Express finds the device but then I get an error message saying there was a problem communicating with the Gamin Servers - please try again later. Is there still an issue with the Garmin servers? Has anyone else come across this issue and has found a fix?

    I am sorry about any inconvenience that this has caused. We are working as quickly as possible to get this resolved but I haven't seen any estimated time at this point. In the meantime, you may still be able to upload activities to Garmin Connect by following the instructions here:

    Unfortunately, this will only allow you to upload activities but not steps.

    This doesn't seem to be working either. At least it isn't for me. I was able to import to my Strava though.

    Manually uploading isn't working for me either :( Not giving me a good feeling after spending $300+ on something that I thought was better quality than I was getting from a $5 phone app... :(

    Having problems syncing vivofitfor two days..getting upset..after reading everyone's forums starting to be convinced this isn't worth having..I do enjoy the vivofit..its a lot of fun especially with friends...we make a game out of it to see who does better.please fix.
  • I am sorry for the troubles. As Explained in the post: https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?184803-Problems-with-syncing-wellness-data-in-Garmin-Express there have been some issues with the Connect servers. Garmin will get this corrected soon, please bare with us.

    This remains problematic and highly frustrating from the customer's point of view. All you have told us that there is a problem, and then no idea of when we can expect to get back to normal. I can now sync data, but am unable to edit my activities within Garmin Connect. My steps for the last 4 days have disappeared from the online console, but appear on my phone. I still can't sync properly with My Fitness Pal, nor am I able to upload my data to my phone. Overall, a deeply unsatisfying experience with the Vivofit product, that if it isn't resolved rapidly, will see my get one of your competitors products. Sort it out!

There was a post that we tried to update throughout the day when ever we received updates from the Garmin Connect team. https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?184803-Problems-with-syncing-wellness-data-in-Garmin-Express The MyFitnessPal sync issue is a separate issue and Garmin and MyFitnessPal are working on getting the two communicating again. Again I am sorry for the troubles.

    I'm also having this error again today. All transfers sit in "waiting to upload" status. Very frustrating. Any chance of an update? The new garmin connect status says activity uploads are green. Not for me, sadly...
