Cant sync - "problem communicating with the Gamin Servers "

I have a new Garmin Forerunner 15.

I have downloaded Garmin Express and I have connected my device with the USB - trying to sync my data to Garmin Express.
Garmin Express finds the device but then I get an error message saying there was a problem communicating with the Gamin Servers - please try again later. Is there still an issue with the Garmin servers? Has anyone else come across this issue and has found a fix?

Thx for the help :)

Yes. My 310X will not load either. Same error message. It was really slow last night but finally went. Today not so much. I have not found a fix.

Yup, I haven't been able to sync for the last 3 hours.
  • There are some issues with the Connect Servers today. Syncing is sporadic for all devices on all platforms. Please try again tomorrow.

I have a Vivo Fit that has been working perfectly fine and overnight and today has stopped syncing with the "problem communicating with Garmin servers." message... The response above, "Please try again tomorrow", is not a satisfactory response from your organisation. In this the world of cloud computing you can utilise services for burst load performance so there is really no excuse for services to fail and go offline. How about you increase the load performance of your servers to deal with the demands of your end customers. I am starting to wish I had bought your competitors device instead.
  • Note this from elsewhere, it's not just Garmin

Garmin connect has been having issues all day. The site was down for a while, and no one can sync (any garmin device) right now. I'm sure Garmin is working on it. LOTS of people just got new devices over the holidays, which adds to the load, and many new users want to sync pretty often. Once people get used to things, the "sync requests" will slow down, and things will get more stable. (The Garmin Trackers hold about 30 days of data, so even if you go a few days without syncing, it's not a big deal)

As a side note, Polar Flow (the GC equivalent for Polar Devices) and Misfit (the Misfit Shine and Flash) seem to be having similar issues today. Everyone is experimenting with their new trackers before they go back to work on Monday!

    Darn...well that sucks :-(

One future upgrade suggestion for Garmin Connect: like other Cloud services, it would be good to have a status bar to check on Connect's system status. This would allow users to know if there's something wrong on their end or Garmin's end.

    I disagree that it's fixed - https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?184366-quot-Sync-issues-with-Garmin-Connect-quot

    Still getting this -
"There was a problem communicating with the Garmin servers. Please try again later"

I'm also having this issue with a new Forerunner 15. I have successfully uploaded workouts on other days. Tonight it is just coming up with errors. I noticed one file uploaded ok, but the rest just say 'Error' next to them under the "There was a problem communicating with the Garmin servers. Please try again later" heading.

Please let us know when this problem may be resolved (or if it's just a case of trying until it works).

I have a Forerunner 15 and haven't been able to synch with Garmin Connect or MyFitnessPal since Saturday. I believe there was an update at that time. Any idea as to when the problem will be fixed? I've uninstalled and reinstalled Garmin Express, but it only synched once and now I can't connect to the Garmin servers again.
