Since friday night data in Garmin Connect are not updated by Garmin Express.

When I sync my Vivofit with Garmin Express it says almost immediately that the synchronisation is finished but no data show up in Garmin Connect.

What can I do?

I have the exact same problem with my 405. It says it has synced, but data does NOT show on Garmin Connect even though Express tells me to click on the link to view the data. This problem just started. What do we do to fix this?
  • Have you read through the other threads about this? Chances are that your problem will be solved if you do.

I tried to uninstall everything I could (Garmin Express and drivers) and install it back.
    I did this twice.

It seems to work now but I have no idea whether the issue was on my side or on the Garmin Connect server side and whether reinstalling the software actually has any benefit.

Nothing I've found has matched my problem until JX75's post, hence my reply. He may have succeeded with a complete uninstall/reinstall. Is that what you are suggesting PHILIPSHAMBROOK? Something corrupted my program(s) after moths of success? If you've found answers to this problem, perhaps you could share those with us ?????
  • There are plenty of answers that could provide a solution to your problem. Bad activity file, bad internet connection, something else you've changed...and so on. There are a number of posts that say exactly what you have said -

"It says it has synced, but data does NOT show on Garmin Connect even though Express tells me to click on the link to view the data. This problem just started."

The problem is unlikely to be device specific.

You are not alone. Your problem is not unique. Just might take some work going through the forum threads properly and trying the suggestions.

Have you tried this for instance - https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?164296-Express-says-310xt-sync-is-complete-but-my-data-is-not-on-Garmin-Connect

Thanks for attempting to provide a solution. Problem #1 with your solution is that my ANT enabled fitness device is telling me that it HAS uploaded the data and therefore the following link you sent IS inappropriate: "What troubleshooting options can I try when my ANT enabled fitness device will not upload data?"
Problem #2 with your solution is that when I click on that link I get a page of garbled nonsense beginning with this: "javax.servlet.ServletException: /searchSupport/simpleCase.jsp(139,4) '#{!empty kanaSearchHandler.attachments}' Error reading 'attachments' on type com.garmin.support.kana.faces.KanaSearchHandler
    javax.faces.webapp.FacesServlet.service(FacesServlet.java:277)
    org.apache.myfaces.webapp.filter.ExtensionsFilter.doFilter(ExtensionsFilter.java:341)
    org.ajax4jsf.webapp.BaseXMLFilter.doXmlFilter(BaseXMLFilter.java:178..."

So, thanks for your Sage advice!

Whatever... Deinstalling and resintalling everything is not really a satisfactory solucion and I wish Garmin would just fix their software and make it more transparent.
I mean, telling that everything is OK when no data has been actually been transferred is very “Brezhnevian” ;-)

Garmin Express keeps saying - Unable to Connect to Garmin Services when I try and sync my edge 510. As a result my device won't upload and activity to Garmin Connect. I have tried all the online help and uninstalled/reinstalled Garmin Express and plugin and it still isn't syncing. Checked my security settings and its not blocking it either.

    Can anyone help?

The issue is most likely corrupt data on the 405. You can use the Force Send option on the device to send all the activities to Garmin Express again. Express will only upload those missing from Connect. Settings--ANT+-->Computer-->Force Send. If the activity does not transfer to Connect then it is corrupt on the watch and should be deleted. Keep only a few activities on the watch at one time as a general rule. To many activities on the watch will take up limited memory and cause data loss on occasion. The reason the web page did not open correctly is that the web browser is out of date, there is an add-on that is blocking javascript on the web page from running, or your user session had timed out.
If you continue to have troubles please see the information in the FAQ:

I the link has been tested and is working as it should. Let us know if you have any other questions.

Please use the instructions in the FAQ: How do I manually upload data from USB Mass Storage devices to Garmin Connect? Once you get your data uploaded I suggest you delete the Edge 510 from Express and Master Reset it. Add it back to Express and it should be able to Sync future activities with your account.
