25 November 2014 - today my activity (5km run) uploaded with no problem - leaving me wondering why the 10km run yesterday has not been uploaded. FR310XT serial number is 1GM360050 if support can manage to figure this out remotely...
**UPDATE** On 29 November the 24 November run activity finally did upload to GC. This happened without re-installing anything, it just happened all on its own.
It happened again... I had to deinstall and reinstall Garmin Express once more. By the way, when one downloads the software why is it an old version (3.2.21) instead of the newest one (3.2.25).
I am sorry that you are having this trouble with Garmin Express and your vivofit. I am not sure why you are experiencing this behavior. If this issue occurs again, you can try simply restarting the computer and/or removing the ANT Stick from the computer and renserting it. If these steps do not solve the problem, it would be best to contact us without uninstalling the application so that we can troubleshoot the issue. Unfortunately when the application is uninstalled, it also clears the log files so that we are unable to see what was causing the problem.
Today the transfer just got stuck in the middle... No error message, no nothing, it just doesn't move. This software has an extraordinary ability to display a new, completely unexpected bug every day. This is truly amazing, congratulations.
We may need to strip Garmin Express from the computer manually to resolve this. I would recommend contacting support by phone as this may require modifying the Windows registry.
When I launched it tonight it detected a new version (from 3.2.25 to 3.2.26). After updating the version I could uninstall the software. Now resinstalling it (it must be the 4th time or so, in just two months). Still doesn't upload anything.
By the way, after reinstalling GE (only version available for download 3.2.21) and upgrading to 3.2.26, GE is again not listed in Windows’ program list. Is there any chance that this bug will be fixed? Has it been recorded, at least?
The applications that are installed on your computer are pulled from the Windows registry. If you are experiencing this behavior, it sounds like there are issues with your registry as we have not had any reports of this occuring. I tried to install Garmin Express to another computer, a laptop with Windows 8.1. GE can identify the Vivofit and communicate with it (for instance to enable or disable heartrate monitoring) but is still unable to upload data from the Vivofit to Garmin Conenct.
