G.Express unable to connect with server, Unauthorized error

I'm having troubles with the Garmin Express synch program. It can't log on to Garmin servers. It have worked but from time to time it does not. Now for the ca. last two weeks it have been down.

First, I'm running Windows 7 and my device is a Forerunner 220 with software 3.0 (I have had the same connection issues with older sw versions).
I re-installed Garmin Express and did the "Network Service" fix mentioned i the sticky but it still does not work.
I have tried turning off my firewall and anti-virus but it still does not work.
    Then I started WireShark...

First thing I realise is that Garmin Express is communicating just fine with the Garmin servers.
    But, Garmin Express do a:
    "GET /device-service/deviceregistration/device/support/006-B1632-00 HTTP/1.1\r\n"
    wich gets a error response:
    "HTTP/1.1 401 Unauthorized\r\n" for "OAuth realm="connect.garmin.com""

Soooooo, Garmin have some issues on the server side AND/OR in the Garmin Express application!

    When will this be fixed???

If you want to confirm this yourself do like this:

    1. Start WireShark (https://www.wireshark.org/) and start listening to the active internet connection (likely the first wireless connection).
    2. You will now see a lot of rows with communication packets swooshing by in a list. This is disturbing so shut down all applications that use the internet, like Bittorrent, internet browsers, chat applications, etc.
    3. Now things should be much calmer.
    4. Start your non-working Garmin Express.
    5. Clear the WireShark log so it's easier to see new activities.
    6. Click "Get Started" in Garmin Express, newly installed.
    7. If things start to log in WireShark and you see your computer (likely an source/destination starting on 192.168.1.) talking to a garmin server (source/destination 23.78.126.235 and 23.78.76.202) you have no problems with the communication! That means there is a bug/issue/problem for Garmin to fix...

    8. Press Stop in WireShark and if you start looking at the details of the communication you will most likely find the "HTTP/1.1 401 Unauthorized\r\n" as well. For me it was the last message from the Garmin Servers.

The most common cause of this error unauthorized error in Garmin Express is an incorrect time or time zone setting on your computer. To set the time and time zone:

    • Right-click the clock on the lower right-hand corner of the taskbar
    • Click Adjust date/time
    • Click Change time zone...
    • Set the time zone
    • Click OK
    • Click Change date and time
    • Adjust the clock to the correct setting
    • Click OK
    • Click OK again to close the Date and Time settings window

    That's exceptionally good information!!!!
I will try it as soon as I can.

Why don't the Garmin Express application give this information directly??????

Can you please create a task for your developers so they can implement a NEW error message for this?!?!?!?!
The current "Can't communicate with Garmin servers. Please try again later." error message does not help at all!

    It works now!
The clock on my computer was exactly 2 hours off due to a NTP problem and when I fixed that the Garmin Express started working.
