Problem with Middle East and Europe map

I just purchased the Nuvi 3490 with lifetime Middle East and north Africa Maps. It also includes Europe. I registered my device and the lifetime update card on the garmin site and it does show in the details there. After installing the garmin express my Europe maps updated to 2015.10 but my primary lifetime update map of middle east is showing error. There was a problem activating the map. I have written to garmin twice but they have not replied. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

    The weird thing my garmin yesterday updated to 4.60 today GE shown is 4.40 but in device is 4.60 .

    This error should be resolved now. Try the map update again and Garmin Express should complete with no errors. I was able to run it on a test device here and it completed successfully.

    Same problem I have

    mine nuvi 3597 LM , have problem ONLY with updating middle east maps, i have contacted with Garmin Support via Email and without solution

    i have done all solutions found in this thread


    Any help here please

    I found a discrepancy in our database which may have caused the issue. Try the map update again. If it still continues to error out, let us know, we will need some additional information to resolve it.

    It looks like you were able to update the maps. If not, can you attempt to update again please?

    I have same issue - have tried emailing with support but that is like talking to a door. I have 2 3597 units with Eu+Middle East maps and they do not want to update with Garmin Express 3.x/4.0.5/4.0.6

    They get stuck in " activating map"

    I have tried to delete the XML file / remove 3597 from Express / Re-add and reinstall Express but that does not work either.

    This is rather frustrating!

    I checked your account and it looks like one of your nuvi 3597 devices successfully updated on 3/2/2015. For the other device, I found a discrepancy in our database that may have caused the failed to activate error. I have corrected the discrepancy so the map update should work properly now.

    thanks - but it is still not working (SN 2Wxx12414)

    I removed it from Garmin Express - deleted the XML file on the Garmin device - shut down the garmin - connected it again - and then added it again to Garmin Express.

    Still same issue on both PC and Mac.
