Problem with Middle East and Europe map

I just purchased the Nuvi 3490 with lifetime Middle East and north Africa Maps. It also includes Europe. I registered my device and the lifetime update card on the garmin site and it does show in the details there. After installing the garmin express my Europe maps updated to 2015.10 but my primary lifetime update map of middle east is showing error. There was a problem activating the map. I have written to garmin twice but they have not replied. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

    I had to create a case with our IT department for this device. There is an issue with the preloaded map region part number for the MENA NT maps. Correcting the issue will probably take several weeks. I have someone trying to create a work around just for you but I don't know if it is possible yet. As soon as I hear from them I will send you an actual email with the resolution.

    Middle East and North Africa 2015.10 Activation Error

    Good Day Gents,

    I bought one your devices, Garmin Nuvi 3597, with Lift-time update for MEA and Europe. I hoked it to my laptop to update the maps using Garmin Express. I managed to update the Europe map without any issue but every time I try to update MEA map, I end up with the same error saying that "There was a problem activating the map....". I searched most the threads in this forum and others but I couldn't find any solution for such an error or what is causing it? Already sent an e-mail to your customer service and till today no response from them! Can anyone help here!?

    Device: Nuvi 3597
    Hardware Version: V7 SA3 8GB 128MB DS
    Software Version: 4.50
    Garmin Express Version: 3.2.19.0

    I am sorry for the troubles. I believe there was an issue with the device in the database. I fixed the issue so the Middle East North Africa map update should work now. Please delete the device from Garmin Express then add it back again, then do the map update.

    Device: Nuvi 3597
    Software Version: 4.50
    Garmin Express Version: 3.2.19.0

    I can't update the Middle East and North Africa MAP.

    Please help with a quick fix.

    You should be fixed now. Please remove the device from Express then add it back again. The Middle East North Africa map update should complete this time.
