Garmin Express Windows Garmin Express failing to install on Vista

Garmin Express failing to install on Vista

Garmin Express will not install on my Vista Pc. My Windows Updater is current.

I am also unable to delete the multiple GarminExpressInstaller.exe files that have collected in my Downloads Folder. The message "Destination Folder Access Denied" continues to pop up.

Garmin Express appears in my "Uninstall or change a program" page, it DOES NOT appear in my Programs. It can not be Un-installed!

Please advise,

I would recommend the Microsoft Fix-it tool for this particular issue.

The installation just hangs at the same point every time:

"Installing VisualCppRedistributablex86"

This resembles a permissions issue with the UAC (User Account Control) in Vista. Are you signed into an Administrator account?

Yes, I am signed in as an Administrator.

I too have this issue on a Vista PC. It was working fine until I was asked to update and now its completely broken. Mine gets stuck in exactly the same place as LARNERR7's...

This is exactly the issue I am experiencing. I've tried deleting all components of Garmin Express using Revo Uninstaller before re-installing and also separately (and successfully) installing Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable x86 2013 which is the point in the Garmin Express install where it will go no further. I am now out of options.....
