Garmin express re-pair on every launch

morning

Garmin express used to transfer data as soon as I launched it. Now, everytime before I can transfer data, I have to pair up my device again. this is very frustrating as sometimes it won't see the ant stick and I sit here re-doing it over and over to get it to work.
Nothin has changed from my side...

    well that didn't last long. I'm back at the start with the same issue!
    Any other ideas?

    The need to repair the device with Express each time has only been attributed to one cause. A GarminDevice.xml file left over on the computer from a pairing with the ANT Agent. If you have reinstalled the ANT Agent and paired with it for any reason, the problem may occur. Since you have completed the Master Reset from an earlier post, the device should not be creating a GarminDevice.xml file that Express cannot work with. Please delete the device from Garmin Express then delete the UnitID folder for the device from the computers AppData folder (hidden).


    • Press the Windows Key + R key together
    • Type this exactly, %Appdata%
    • Click OK
    • Open the Garmin folder
    • Open the Devices folder
    • Delete the numbered folder (unit id of the 310)


    Once that is complete, restart the computer and pair the 310XT again. If you continue to have troubles I suggest you contact us by phone at 800.800.1020 M-Th 8am-6pm and Fri 8am-5pm CST. We would need to take a closer look at your permissions settings.
