Unable to download maps to Basecamp with Garmin Express

A couple of days ago i updated the maps on my Nuvi2595LMT and Zumo390LM to the latest CN AUS&NZ NT 2015.10 using Express 3.1.8.0. I have tries to download this latest update but Express no longer gives me the option to download to the computer. I upgraded Express to 3.1.9.0 and there is no option to download to the computer there either. I can see the updated map in Basecamp when the Zumo is connected however it is very slow as it is reading it from the device. With the Nuvi connected to Basecamp i am unable to see the new maps as it generates an "error" and shuts down.
I have previously been able to down load all the 2014 updates to my computer successfully but i dont know in which update of Express i lost the ability to do so

Windows XP is still compatible with this version of Express. Was the device ever disconnected from the computer and restarted after you completed the map update to the device? The reinstall or change map option is only available after installing the current map region to the device.

Today i have removed the devices from Express and uninstalled it from windows. I restarted the computer and downloaded a fresh copy of express from Garmin. It has taken all day to download and reinstall Aust & NZ 2015.1 to the Nuvi. The new map can now be read in Basecamp but it is very slow. I still do not have the Change regions or advanced options buttons to enable me to save a copy of the map into Basecamp.
I dont have time to further persue this issue today as i am off on a 10,000K motorcycle ride and will follow up when i return.

I too have the same issue with the Garmin City Navigator Australia / New Zealand map when a NZ new nuvi with Lifetime Updates pre-installed. The last 2-3 versions have NOT given the option of loading to the computer.

I also have tried updates with UK new and US new nuvis and Express gives the option to load to the computer with the Europe / North America maps.

The Aust/NZ map does not give the Advanced option - shown here with a NZ new zumo:

We are currently looking into the installation option for the City Navigator Australia / New Zealand 2015 update. In the meantime BaseCamp will need to be used to read the maps from the device.

Can I view my preloaded, downloaded or preprogrammed map data in BaseCamp?
