Unable to download maps to Basecamp with Garmin Express

A couple of days ago i updated the maps on my Nuvi2595LMT and Zumo390LM to the latest CN AUS&NZ NT 2015.10 using Express 3.1.8.0. I have tries to download this latest update but Express no longer gives me the option to download to the computer. I upgraded Express to 3.1.9.0 and there is no option to download to the computer there either. I can see the updated map in Basecamp when the Zumo is connected however it is very slow as it is reading it from the device. With the Nuvi connected to Basecamp i am unable to see the new maps as it generates an "error" and shuts down.
I have previously been able to down load all the 2014 updates to my computer successfully but i dont know in which update of Express i lost the ability to do so
  • It should be under Advanced Options in the Reinstall or Change maps line on the Device tab ... Choose the Download to PC option.

    The "Reinstall or Change Maps" tab does not give me the option to Download to PC with or without either Nuvi or Zumo device connected. The download to PC is nowhere to be found on my Express

    I have just tested a 2595 here to replicate your issue. When I Click on Device and scroll down to the Reinstall Maps button just to the right there's an "Advanced Options". When you click here you should get 3 selections in a drop down menu. Device Only/Device & Computer/ or Computer Only. Selecting the Computer Only will allow you to install the mapping to the computer.

    If BaseCamp is getting an error reading the maps from your 2595 the mapping image file may be corrupted. I would recommend that when you do a reinstall select Device & Computer that way the file can be reinstalled on your device as well and possibly correct any corrupt image that may have been transferred to your device.

    There is no "Advanced Options" button. I click on "Device" and when i scroll down to the "Reinstall or Change Maps" I have a dropdown box that only gives me the option of "Full Coverage of Australia & New Zealand 2015.10" and the "Reinstall Maps" button. I have on several occasions reinstalled the maps and i have tried deleting recreating the device in Express. I am experiencing this issue with both the Nuvi & the Zumo

    I am on that page but there is not a "Change Regions" or "Advanced Options" only the "Reinstall Maps Button" and the maps drop down box
  • OK, then try uninstalling and reinstalling Express as there appears to be something wrong with it, I've never seen it the way you describe it.

    I have done the uninstal/reinstall of express to 3.1.8.0 and there is still no "Change regions" or "Advanced Options" available. I think this issue arose after I loaded the 2015.10 maps
  • I can't understand why that would have caused it. Only other thing I can suggest is to delete the device from Express then reassociate it. Otherwise maybe the Express team can resolve it.

    I have already done that and was done again after the reinstall of express. Could this be an XP issue?
