Can't update Edge Explore 2

Just received the Edge Explore 2. New out of the box. When I try to install the map update with Windows Garmin Express, I get aan error message that it cannot install the update.
Exactly the same issue as Andrazek reported 3 months ago.
No issues with PC, enough storage space, Edge connected with the USB cable from Garmin.

Restarted everything, phone updates the software on the Edge to 27.14. Restarted everything.

Ran Express as administrator.

Still the same error message.

How do I resolve this or is the device broken?

It is in Dutch. "There was an error installing the update". It is exactly the same as in this post (which is in English) post of Andrazek 3 months ago. After my post, I changed the Garmin USB cable for a different cable and then I suddenly had another butoon on the screen (below the blue Install button) whch took me to an overview of the maps on my device. I had to deselect Eastern Europe because otherwise the update would not fit. But I did not install the updates for Western and Central Europe because it case 2 hours or so. I just tried again to update the maps, but now I get that same error message as in the screenshot.

I was just able to get to the overview of maps on the device again. I deselected eastern europe. But when I saved that I got the error message that it cannot connect to the servers. And then it looses connection to the device as well.
