After updating Garmin Express on my Windows PC - no problem encountered, I installed a software update on my Drive Smart with no problem. Then the map update started normally but then it slowed down to 250 K and stopped altogether when the install was at 65.2%. When I try and start over Garmin Express says my device's maps (North America City Navigator) are up to date. I see no option to re-install the maps. However, when I unplug my device from the PC and turn it on I am informed that detailed maps are not installed and route planning is impossible. Indeed, when I look at the map on the device there are no details, only major highways are shown. I have updated the maps before with no problem and I am sure my cable is OK. We are leaving tomorrow morning for a trip.
