nope, express 7.18.3 still doesn't work on some Windows7 64bit

I know it's not officially supported, just reporting since the release notes for 7.18.3 claims it was fixed.

It was not, still crashes on startup and the config workaround doesn't work either.

Yes I checked the properties of the express.exe and it says 7.18.3 was installed

also, Garmin needs to make a forced overwrite install for 7.13.3 so installed devices aren't lost on uninstall

It's crazy some random developer at a billion dollar company can just casually break thousands if not millions of users for weeks now.

Sussamb evidently you did not read the last line on 7.18.3.0 release notes. I just checked under system requirements and under windows they now have 7.18.3.0 as the last version available for windows 7 and 8.

Note: Windows 7 and Windows 8 are no longer supported. This will not prevent future versions of Garmin Express from being downloaded. However, any bugs or other issues specific to these OSes will not be resolved. 7.18.3 will be available to download at any time under the System Requirements.

The link you posted is what is posted at top of forum and still takes you to 7.17.3.0 but you check on garmin's website for downloading express that link under system requirements for windows 7 and 8 takes you to the download for 7.18.3.0.

again, for people who aren't following along. nope, the "crash specific to Windows 7" is NOT fixed, not for all

Garmin Express v7.18.3 is available for PC today.

Resolved a crash specific to Windows 7 that could occur when launching Garmin Express.
