Version 7.7.0.0 now available

Version 7.7.0.0 is available in garmin express. I installed it info is in release notes above. Hope it works better then previous versions.

No issues here after update.

In fact, I never had issues with GE not launching or not being able to login to my account etc. This all always works fine.

Ive just installed version 7.7 on my laptop and for the first time ever it no longer recognises my fenix 6x pro . Ive rebooted watch and computer to no avail. Guess I will have to uninstall and reinstall…

I think from the program the update is not found. You have to download it from here:

Sorry fella, it’s a surface pro so the latest and it’s fully up to date. I’m a stickler for updates.

We can assume it's Windows 10. But since "Surface Pro" is not a version of Windows, I believe what Macke1972 is asking is what version of Windows, as you would get by typing the "winver" command, such as "Windows 10 Version 21H1."

It's useless ask for versions or small system variables, or to make irony about those who confuse their hardware with the operating system.

A program must perform correctly regardless of user configurations and their errors. The point is this: in the release notes is written that version 7.7 of GEX remedies the drawbacks of writing to disk and decrypting the maps.

In a nutshell: for many users this is not true, I can mention my case and that of two friends, moreover if the map is downloaded and installed with GEX 7.7 and the operation fails, the inexperienced user is faced with a very difficult situation to solve, continuing to make mistakes until you lose the management of all your peripherals.

After successfully downgrading to GEX 7.5 and having the maps installed on my navigator and on my two PCs, I'm not going to waste any more time.

The next update will be in autumn and I have the whole summer ahead to spend riding a motorcycle, after the house arrest imposed by the mismanagement of the pandemic.

The point here was not to blaspheme or ask about versions or small system variables, but to find out if only Win 7 and Win 8.1 are affected by the problems with GE 7.7.0.0.

You will probably not be able to do this 100% with any software.

As you can see above, there are even people who have problems with version 7.5.0.0 and have to downgrade even further than you. In this respect, version 7.5.0.0 does not work for everyone (as it does for you).
