Lost all training data in Garmin connect

 My device would only sync data from a current day so I reset the device which did not help, so I removed the device from garmin express and re-added it. However garmin connect has started a new account and all my old training data-profile picture etc is lost. I have a blank new account. Can I recover the old one? I know its still out there as the new account suggests I connect with it-as if was a google connection!

    Will try this-but might speak to garmin first incase I delete the original account also. Im guessing they somehow have the same details.

    yep, puzzle to be solved by Garmin Support

    what kind amount of data did you have in the previous account

    accounts do not get deleted via Garmin Express, only via garmin.com

    Hey, it was just all my training data for 18 months. Run times/cycling/kayaking routes etc. Easy to get again I suppose but annoying since I have paid for the device! 

    I did try opening with another computer-and not google. My theory is that I have somehow overwritten my account and possibly have two accounts with the same email?

    Thanks again for all your good suggestions! Will definitely post whatever outcome I end up with!

    Hey OnlyTwo,

    Garmin where very helpful. They deleted ,my new account(hence why I am relying from another account) I had to wait 48 hours and was able to sign into my old account. To resolve the original syncing problems I had to delete and re-download garmin express. So all working better than before!

    I doubt it :( 

    I made a typing error with my email address on my original account. I  didnt know this as for 18 months my garmin express just directed me to connect So when I deleted my device the link was lost. When I entered my email details (correctly) it simply took me to a new account.

    With regards to other users-always type correctly! Also if you cannot solve problems logically and no-one here like OnyTwo can find a logical answer-then Garmin are very helpful. They even call you back if there is a phone queue.

    Also my original syncing problems where solved by deleting and re adding garmin express.
