long press the watch face >> Settings >> System >> Reset >> Delete Data and Reset Settings
No. I could not do it in file transfer mode nor with the garmin connect app.
I did a hard reset and that cleaned them up, but setting the watch backup is a PITA.
It takes a lot of effort to keep track of all the settings on my watch and to set up my watch correctly.
GARMIN also offers no possibility to save, import or export all of these settings.
Why in god's name should I reset my whole watch because of poor support?

I had the same problem, an empty playlist that didn't show in Express nor in Windows explorer. It did show in the watch though.
I created a new playlist with the same name, uploaded it to the watch, then deleted with Explorer. It is gone now.
