It is wasting time to wait for help from Garmin support people concerning software problems
after two days of trying to finally break through Garmin Express that either just gets stall without any message or gives the fake messages like Successfully installed
or Garmin Express is already installed when in reality there is no Express program folder in Program Files(86) I also found the solution of the Garmin Express Sign In to Garmin Connect stuck
after thorough uninstall of the Garmin Express 6.13.1.0 - solution described in my previous topic Garmin neither install nor uninstall - I installed older version Garmin Express 6.7.1.0 - what are Garmin programmers excellent in is that they just do not let you do what you want and need - starting this old version immediately puts on screen an update version message that cannot be closed and that gives you only one possibility - to install back update to the faulty 6.13.1.0 version - nevertheless I decided to "upgrade" - and - to my surprise after installing the requested update it was suddenly possible to sign in without any problem - aka the previous 6.7.1.0 version probably contains something that is missing in the current 6.13.1.0 version - so - provided it is true than the people who upgrade their older versions of Garmin Express to 6.13.1.1 do not experience the sign in problems but the people who start with 6.13.1.0 probably have will do
it is really shame for Garmin producing such excellent devices to equip them with the amateur software
I am using the Garmin devices already ten years - Garmin Colorado 300 - this fantastic device excellently managed by rock'n roller was quickly discontinued but I used it up to this year when I exchanged it for Garmin Oregon 700 jumping into a couple of trivial installation problems - but I see the same errors in Oregon firmware that I experienced with Garmin Colorado e.g. in calculating ETA, increasing time and distance to destination when getting close to destination etc. - I really do not understand the Garmin software policy
