Updating maps Garmin drive 50 no space

Hello everyone!

I have this garmin drive 50 with free 2gb internal storage. Update need 3... GB. Map update already broke my original maps so i have nothing now. updating maps gives random error but i think it is because of space of course.

I inserted 8gb sd card and it shows up next to internal storage. question is- how can I install the update on sd card? It does not give me choice to do so.

please help!

    This is not to say that it's exactly the same problem that I have as our logs differ here indeed - but crash occurs at the same place, i.e. when GE needs to decide where to send the downloaded & built maps to.
