Both PC's are running legal versions of win 7 U x64, I also have 2 Zumo 660LM however when i plug both of the 660's into either pc nothing comes up by this i mean nothing in "Disk Management" shows up, when i fire up Garmin Express (GE) and plug in either of the 660's again nothing in fact GE just keeps saying searching until it gives up, I thought my main PC may be the issue that is why i went back to the old laptop but the issue is there, does anyone have any suggestions what i can try?

Well something fishy is going on IMO, new cable from Garmins site and NOTHING, not on main PC or laptop, only thing Garmin want to do is try to flog me an upgrade, just funny how both die at the very same time.
  • I agree, it's unlikely both died at the same time. Try the steps in this FAQ https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=l0p9W9vsc37NJ3vH2b5pF6&searchType=noProduct&utm_source=faqSearch

The other option if none of that works is have you updated your Win7 recently? If so try going back to an earlier restore point in case a Win update has caused the issue.

I wonder if this board has an award for the biggest idiot going? If so i would win it hands down for this year.
I followed your linkk SUSSAMB thinking i will go through the motions as i'm sure i had done everything right and watching the video it made a remark about making sure the battery was fully charged and it dawned on I had been removing the battery all the time on both units i feel like such a t1t it's untrue.

One updated to latest version fine, but the other still has an issue but i will start another threat for that.

So sorry to mess everybody about, I will now go away for a while and kick myself up the ass
