Sorry, we're having a problem communicating with our servers

I have multiple GPSs supported by GE
Drive 50 and several older nuvi's

On the nuvi's, no issue (even see the new 2018.1 map ready to update)
On the Drive 50, I see "Sorry, we're having a problem communicating with our servers"

So now issue with firewall or something wrong with my PC clock being out of sync.

any thoughts?

    Issue seems to be limited to the "dual map" Garmin Drive 50 LMT Travel Edition.

    i called the garmin support today and they know about the problem with the travel edition and the connection with the sever.
    right now there is nothing to fix it but the guy on the telefon said that they are working on a software update for garmin express to fix the problem.

    I got the same information from them...
    I hope that they will manage to fix it soon.

    I have the same problem with my newly bought Garmin Drive 50 LMT Travel Edition.

    I called Garmin support today and they helped me install the 2017.30 update manually.

    So try giving them a call if you cant wait for the fix.

    I have the same problem with my newly bought Garmin Drive 50 LMT Travel Edition.

    I thought it was a problem with the device and I wanted to bring it back. I can connect the device to Garmin Express, but I don't see any information (updates etc.).

    Error message:

    Bei der Kommunikation mit unseren Servern ist ein Problem aufgetreten ( " X Sorry, we're having problems communicating with our servers")

    Now it seams I will have to wait until I am able to use Garmin Express to install updates etc.

    I told the supporter that i only i bought this gps for my holiday and needed the newest map.

    He asked me for my email and told me open Garmin express go to tools and login, then click the bought tap and there was the new map he send me and i could install it.

    It was a europe map 2017.20 and not 2017.30 as first post.

    Yes finally.

    And know i can upgrade 2017.20 -> 2017.30

    I was able to install the updates, but I still can not install other maps (etc. North America). When I click on map options I only see Europa 2017.30. Can anyone help?
