Sorry, we're having a problem communicating with our servers

I have multiple GPSs supported by GE
Drive 50 and several older nuvi's

On the nuvi's, no issue (even see the new 2018.1 map ready to update)
On the Drive 50, I see "Sorry, we're having a problem communicating with our servers"

So now issue with firewall or something wrong with my PC clock being out of sync.

any thoughts?
  • what can I do if I can not connect to http://omt.garmin.com??

  • if you can't then you need to check your system, your firewall may be blocking it, or your ISP, or ...

  • I suspect there's nothing wrong with your system, I too cannot access this page. I am getting a "404 Not Found" message when I try to reach that page. I tried three cellular phones, two IOS and one Android. The mobile phones was tried with cellular data and WiFi. Three PCs, two Windows 10 and one Windows 7. The Windows PCs were tried with different ISPs and the one Windows 10 PC was a newly installed system, I replaced the laptop's HDD with a SSD, hence the new install. Absolutely stock standard Windows installation with no 3rd party software installed at all.
