Install Map to Computer

Hi,

wonder if you can help. I have a zumo 349LT and I've registered, connected and updated maps. However, when I click Map Options the Install to Computer button is greyed out.

Any ideas? Everything else seems to work OK

thanks
  • All the roads will be displayed, you just need to select the Highest detail setting in BaseCamp.

Hi, any news on this issue yet? Creating/editing routes without the map installed locally is a painfully sloowwwww.

I am sorry that you are having trouble with this. I have tested this and I am experiencing the same issue on one of my devices with the Europe maps. I am creating a case and will post back once this is resolved.

When the issue has been corrected, the fix will be released in a software update. This will be announced on your Garmin Connect account or on Garmin Express. If, at that point you require further assistance please contact us via our Contact Centre whereby we will be happy to talk you through it.

I have the same problem. Interesting detail is that I can install North America maps I bought separately, but not the life-time maps that came with my European device.

Looking forward to a quick update to fix!
  • I am joining this thread as I have the same problem that I raised in another thread

"I have two Garmin Nuvi2595LMT, one for America and one for Europe. I have installed the current map for America on to my PC but I can't seem to do it for the Europe map.
I am using Garmin Express and the page comes up under "Map Options" and it shows the two buttons "Reinstall Map" and "Install to Computer" but the Install to computer button is inoperative.
Does anybody have any idea what is happening, both maps are lifetime updates etc. and as far as I can see there is no difference between the devices? "

I await anxiously for the fix.
  • As posted above, Garmin are aware of the issue and are working on a fix.

    Any news on this?

The last garmin express update removed the option to install to computer so technically there isn't a fault now :/

Having to have my zumo connected to my computer to plan routes in basecamp is painfully slow and very frustrating, please sort this out garmin!
