Hi,

New to this forum so not sure if asking something stupid.

I searched the forum first before asking but couldn't find it.

Anyway, I am looking for an option to turn of text balloons on the map. These appear anywhere my mouse is.
I didn't right click, just hoovering the mouse.

I have a fresh Basecamp 4.4.7 install so I don't think it is my PC, it looks like Basecamp is doing this.
Tried all settings in the program but I seem to miss the obvious.

The solution will probably be simple but you have to know. And I don't :rolleyes:

Hhhmm. I don't see this behavior on my laptop. The pop-up happens four seconds after I stop moving, regardless of the time the last pop-up happened.

I am on a different computer now, running the new BC.

Still the timer starts counting from the last text balloon pop-up, not from the moment the mouse stops moving.

Yes, I can reproduce this.

One way to see this is to place the mouse pointer right over a major road and then slowly and smoothly slide it along the road in a continuous way, then stop.

Yup, this does reproduce the OP's issue on my laptop as well. It will even pop-up every four seconds if you keep moving slowly......But it doesn't really affect my workflow as it would be very rare for me to cursor along a road for any length of time. When I'm randomly mousing around I don't notice it.

I am REALLY REALLY happy with the option to switch of the idle text balloons (tooltips).

Nevertheless, there are still text balloons popping up when you click on a track in the library.
To get them out of your sight it is not enough to just click the map. You must click on the very small cross of the text balloon. I need to do that 10's of times. When showing different tracks, EVERY TIME I have to click the very small cross.

These text balloons are always blocking my view on the map. I don't want these text balloons on my map.

I suppose Garmin is doing this to help us, but please understand that the user wants to decide for himself.
