I posted the update on my Dutch FB-page (https://www.facebook.com/mrgpsnl/posts/642639492492071) and have multiple install error reports within one hour.

Most concern the missing MSVCR90.dll error, but I also see 'runtime error' basecamp.exe R6034

Might be a 'local/language' issue?? Would advise to wait with auto-update.

You are receiving the missing DLL error with 4.3.2?

Continuing issues with 4.3.2 and Windows 8.1 which weren't an issue in 4.25. Basecamp loads but doesn't launch maximized even though the Windows controls in the upper right corner are indicating I'm running full screen. Feels like an issue with the Windows 8.1 magnification settings. If I hit "run down" in the upper right corner Basecamp moves on my screen, but does not change size. If I then hit "maximize" it fills the screen?? This Lenovo Carbon X1 has a quad HD display so I typically run in a slightly magnified more. Running in native resolution yields extremely small windows. Like a default Outlook window the size of a postage stamp. ;-)

Toggling between minimized and maximized a few times clears up the issue I described earlier with the shrinking folder and folder names in the left Library list.

Another issue. When I open <some> existing routes, possible from an early map version, and hit recalculate I get some very strange results from time to time. The route become longer with a side trip miles down a random road, then a U turn, then returns back and continues down the original route?? There are no waypoints or shaping points down this detour. Basecamp just decided to send me out and back down a road?? The "Curvy Roads" preference is NOT selected.

I'd like to see your data. Can I ask you to send another e-mail to [email protected]? Can you tell me what maps you were using? When you send your e-mail can you export your route to a gpx file and attach it to the e-mail?

What is your screen resolution set to? Also could you e-mail that screen shot to [email protected] along with your explanation?

The native resolution of the screen is 2560x1440. The magnifier slider is set as shown below. I'll forward the other screen shots shortly....

Well, install went fine and no issues with FolderData thank goodness.

Unfortunately, the TRIP PLANNER is not doing so well. Notice anything odd...with the travel time after the first Via Point.

I'd like to show you the data, but it now appears to be gone!? Last night before updating from 4.25 to 4.3.2 I backed up my database. After the upgrade I am now seeing that some of my recent work, say over the last month is now gone?? I had the 4.3 Beta loaded for a while and it's database was separate from the 4.25 database. After the upgrade to 4.3.2 I seem to have been reverted to the month old data!! I just restore the backup I made last night prior to the upgrade and the routes are still missing.

Is there anyway for me to recover these missing routes?

I reverted back to Basecamp 4.25 and my data is back. I realize different versions of Basecamp store data in folders like c:\users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Garmin\Basecamp\database\4.3, but I would have thought a DB backup from ver 4.25 would be able to restore to ver 4.3?? How do I upgrade and retain my DB? Blow away the 4.3 DIR and then upgrade??

Basecamp 4.3 happily restored the 4.25 DB backup but must have put it in the 4.25 DIR??

New version installed nicely, it seems to work fine , everything is there, but I still can't use OPEN task launcher > Manage your device.
  • @ADAMKSKI

You should be able to copy your 4.2 data into the 4.3 folder.

BaseCamp 4.3 must be storing the DB somewhere new. I just deleted the c:\users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Garmin\Basecamp\da tabase\4.3 DIR, Loaded ver 4.3 and it has reverted to a DB I had during the BETA. Even copying the 4.2 DIR to the 4.3 DIR in the path above does not bring the data back......

So I seems ver 4.3 was using the 4.2 DB folder. Then I did a "restore from previous version" and it created the 4.3 DIR and brought forward the complete 4.2 DB. It is still unclear to me what DB it was using after I first installed 4.3 and had a strange version of the DB missing some of my recent work??

Could it be made to be any more confusing?!
