BaseCamp route w/nuvi 56LM

I created a trip with BaseCamp but when I went on trip, GPS routed me another way??? The only thing I did differently was to get off I-State for gas.

Would this cause this and if so, what's the solution to stay on planned route? Thxs Joe

That's my recollection too of how the older models work that use the older route planner. Those using trip planner are split in that the pre-2013 models didn't accept shaping points from Basecamp, from the 2013 models on they do.
