The Android platform is now the most popular mobile. OS on the planet so it would make sense to support this, right?
I'm particularly interested in some method to be able to transfer wp and Geocaches via wireless ANT, bluetooth

Problem is that the current Android Version dont support Bluetooth LE. Android 4.3 will support Bluetooth LE. So wie have to wait for Android 4.3 and then we could ask Garmin for a Android version oft basecamp.

This absolutely needs to happen already. The Monterra product proves they have the capability to program for Android, and that they see Android as the future. I also agree that an SDK or something needs to be made so non-Garmin devices and apps can talk to each other.

The Monterra product proves they have the capability to program for Android.

If you actually had a Monterra, you would know this to be absolutely 180' from the truth.

Garmin, is it comming or not? If not then I'm going to have to jump ship. My laptop is 6 years old and hard drive is creaking. I'd like Basecamp on my shiny tablet please.
