The Android platform is now the most popular mobile. OS on the planet so it would make sense to support this, right?
I'm particularly interested in some method to be able to transfer wp and Geocaches via wireless ANT, bluetooth
one more question is this the best place to ask about Android Apps for Garmin GPS devices?
Wireless sharing is easy with Monterra. It has WiFi, ANT+, Bluetooth 3.0 and NFC capabilities, which allows users to share data, maps, waypoints, tracks, routes, and geocaches with other wireless compatible devices. Additionally, Monterra is compatible with BaseCamp
, a free software download that lets you view and organize maps, waypoints, routes and tracks.
Problem is that the current Android Version dont support Bluetooth LE. Android 4.3 will support Bluetooth LE. So wie have to wait for Android 4.3 and then we could ask Garmin for a Android version oft basecamp.
The Monterra product proves they have the capability to program for Android.
