To put this to bed I have no issue signing into my account via Basecamp. If anyone is then there is an account issue somewhere affecting you. Maybe you've created two accounts? Maybe there is a problem with your account? It's not a Basecamp problem and I suggest anyone having issues contacts Product Support

So I called Garmin about this issue this morning. We puzzled over it for quite a while and finally figured it out.
- Most Garmin services let you (encourage you) to log in with your email address. But Basecamp does not accept email addr as a login (he considers that a bug and has filed a ticket).
- You have to use your actual username. But this is confusing too. After logging in via web to connect.garmin.com, it shows your display name. In my case, scot.hacker, which looked like my username. That doesn't work either.
- So where can one go to find their actual username? It's not easy! We tried poking around everywhere we could at both connect.garmin.com and my.garmin.com but it's nowhere to be found. Believe it or not, the support rep's conclusion was "There doesn't seem to be any way to discover your actual username other than to call Garmin Support." Wow.
So: Basecamp requires your actual username (not your email) but your actual username is very hard to discover if you don't know it already.
