Made an interesting discovery today - you cannot access or see the .System folder on their new 3597.
Do you suppose that is to protect their data or maybe its insurance that a customer cannot "brick" their device.
I thought I was in mass storage but maybe we were not.
It's certainly not a bug. It's how it's intended to operate. To be fair the items to be deleted aren't 'hidden', they are in a visible folder whenever you connect your GPS to your PC/Mac. What is not so good is that this behaviour isn't documented by Garmin, but then documentation is pretty sparse these days hence the popularity of user forums, and that is true of many companies :)
